About Your Job:
We are looking for an intelligent and aspiring Product Coordinator who can work with a wide range of external suppliers, hotels and internal team members to support the Product Manager. You will be involved in all aspects of the running of the company and provide support in various projects and tasks.
As a Product coordinator you will be responsible for delivering unique products (flight + hotel itineraries) at best price, in a timely and creative manner to support Qatar Airways Holidays (QRH) Sales and Operations. You will be required to source suppliers, manage their relationship, administrate contracts, and prepare costing sheets for bench marking purposes, as well as presenting newly created products to the Sales and Operations team and follow-up with their inquiries. This will include, but is not limited to:
Source suppliers and manage their relationship (setup regular calls) to ensure best positioning, products, and service quality, ROI, and pricing, of QRH products in the market.
You will analyse and benchmark competitor products, rates, tactical offers and monitor sales performance, negotiate discounts and override commissions (ORC), and adjust mark-up levels to maximise revenue and ensure best pricing and servicing for QRH.
Ensure there is an adequate offer and number of products available to support campaigns and new destination launches.
Develop Product knowledge and provide training to the teams via supplier presentations.
Ensure internal processes are followed and administrate contracts.
Maintain reports and other data.
About You:
You will have a tertiary or vocational educational qualification with a minimum of 2 years job related experience. You must have at least 2 years’ experience in uploading contracts on the online system.
You should have the ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks and must be an exceptionally strong communicator, natural ability to speak and write effectively at all organizational levels with an eye for detail, and a passion for high quality service. It is important to be computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.
Essential Requirements:
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to demonstrate key areas of success
A proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers
Be able to demonstrate a passion for travel and the holiday industry
Flexible and open, never give up attitude and have the ability to work under pressure.
Preferably have experience in a product department and in out-bound travel
Administrative skills and experience in tour-operating or travel management (brochure production, contracting, sales, etc.)
Experience working on manual cost sheets and flyers and good geographical and destination knowledge.
The understanding of airfare and DGS is highly desirable.
